Guidelines for submitting abstracts
Abstracts for both oral and PEP presentations in symposia and other themed sessions at the AMSA 2017 conference are sought. For acceptance of an oral presentation please note that your abstract should include some information on research results. Oral presentations will be 20 minutes (15 minute presentation and 5 minutes questions).
Honours and early career PhD students are encouraged to submit abstracts for PEP talks. PEP talks provide presenters with a 5 minute oral, a digital poster display (PowerPoint format) during the conference, and student presenters are eligible for the Ron Kenny Award. Abstracts for research projects in their early stages should also be submitted for PEP talks.
Submitted abstracts need to adhere to the format specified in the abstract sample.
Click the link below to download the AMSA 2017 Abstract Template which MUST be followed for all submissions.
The maximum word count for abstracts is 350 words. Any text exceeding the word count will be automatically deleted from the abstract.
Do not include any graphics in your abstract (figures, pictures, images, etc).
When submitting your abstract you need to choose your preferred general session or symposium and also indicate a second choice. Make sure you read all the general sessions and symposia before selecting one for your abstract.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee and, in the case of presentations offered for a Symposium, also by the respective symposium organisers.
All abstracts are to be submitted to this site via the Abstract Submission link. All communication with authors will be via email.
